Welcome at For Me Formidable

A unique Chambre d’Hôtes in the Vienne. Spend the night in the countryside yet also have the convenience of the small town of L’Isle Jourdain.
Our house is located on the outskirts of the village opposite the old train station, a park and the swimming pool.

Enjoy luxury, a tastefully decorated bathroom, combined with the comfort of a cozy sitting-bedroom. The decor is modern with a touch of nostalgia, the room exudes light and warmth. The room has a private entrance and in front of the room there is a terrace. There is ample parking.

In the area there is plenty to explore, from beautiful walks to bungee jumping from the viaduct, cozy restaurants or at some distance some larger cities such as Poitiers, Limoges or Angouléme. More can be found under the tourism button.

Reading a book

The sitting area is cozy, warm and comfortable. There are two comfortable chairs where you can read a good book or enjoy a glass of wine, a small table for the bottle and some salts is between the chairs.
Warm plaids are available for cooler evenings, but of course there is heating for when it really gets cooler outside.

There is a table with stools at which to enjoy breakfast.

Egg on the side?

We serve a simple but nutritious breakfast. We try to avoid waste and not everyone likes a full breakfast. That’s why we keep it simple. Croissant, piece of baguette, some toppings, fruit yogurt a fruit juice.

If you do have a bigger appetite you can easily expand your breakfast; more bread and toppings, yogurt with cruesli, fresh fruit or a boiled or fried egg from our own chickens. You can indicate your wishes a day in advance.

Coffee and tea is standard in the room.

Sleeping well

In the 160×200 bed, you will surely sleep wonderfully. We chose a hotel-quality mattress. Plenty of pillows and comforters are provided.
The bed is made with a nice thick comforter or just a cool sheet, depending on the time of year.
Attached to the headboard are bedside lamps. The lights are adjustable, dimmable and there is a usb jack for charging your phone.

You can hang your clothes on clothes rack, there are plenty of hangers.

The bathroom

The bathroom has a fresh look in white and blue, and here too modern comfort is combined with touches of nostalgia. The shower stall is spacious and has a rain shower and a normal shower head, there is a toilet and a sink with furniture.

The towel warmer warms your towel nicely and feet are pampered by underfloor heating.

For travelers with little luggage, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion and some other toiletries are provided. A hair dryer is provided.

Cup of coffee with breakfast?

Or do you prefer tea anyway? You can do both.
On the kitchenette, in addition to a Nespresso machine and a kettle, there are other necessities to make a cup of coffee or tea. For breakfast or any other time of the day.

There is a small refrigerator where you can chill some soda, a white wine or some other goodies.

Formidable ☺ Une pépite avec un service et des petites attentions digne d'un 5 étoiles 🌟 Lit très confortable, chambre spacieux, grande SDB, petit déjeuner royale. J'ai adoré et je me suis sentie chez moi. Hôte adorable et discrète.

We had a wonderful stay at For Me Formidable, and are looking forward to our next visit! ☺The proprietor Marina was wonderful. She was flexible with our same day reservation, even with a late check in, and early check out. Marina is friendly, fun, and a wealth of information about L’Isle Jourdain, and the surrounding area. Our room was spotless, comfortable , and cozy. The breakfast was plentiful, and delicious, served right in your room! Coffee, tea, and soft drinks were stocked in the lovely kitchenette. There was even a snack waiting when we arrived.

Séjour parfait ☺ La chambre et la salle de douche sont grandes, confortables et très propres. La propriétaire est adorable. Elle a beaucoup de petites attentions pour rendre le séjour agréable. ☹ Ecrire le nom For Me Formidable sur un panneau à l'extérieur.
